Susanne Bartels

Susanne Bartels is a German photographic artist based in Munich. Her work moves between artistic documentary photography and visual storytelling, exploring human presence, identity, belonging, and the fragile boundaries between reality and perception. Guided by a humanistic approach, she seeks moments of trust and unguarded presence. Her work has been exhibited and awarded internationally. She is the author of the photobooks CITY SURFERS and PHANTASOS.
