GHETTO NAMED "HOPE"

It's not always dark and oppressive in the Ghetto. This is the largest ghetto in Bulgaria. It's really dangerous there and not even the police go inside. You can only enter there with a local person whom people know well. Poverty and misery are everywhere. There is no electricity, no water, the children are dirty. But in this ghetto I saw cheerful people and many smiles. Somehow the atmosphere was positive with a lot of color. I didn't expect to see exactly that, but I really liked it. People were very fond of me. I go there often and every time I have a great time photographing the Roma. I always want to try to break the stereotypes and change people's thinking and expectation. In my country, the perception of this Ghetto is terrible and maybe for the first time people are seeing the positive side of life there.
