A fleeting moment framed by the architecture of the Louvre. A figure in red stands between history and modernity, becoming both the subject of the image and the subject of those surrounding her.

About this project

I was drawn to the layers within this moment: the historic arch, the geometry of the glass pyramids, and a solitary figure in red at the centre. Around her, people raise their cameras. For a brief moment, everyone becomes part of the same scene—some watching, some photographing, some simply passing through. The photograph became, for me, an observation of the act of looking: who is the subject, who is the observer, and who is the witness?
