About this competition
The Street Photographers Foundation Awards return for 2026, open worldwide to anyone who works in public — professionals, students and enthusiasts alike.
We are looking for photographs made on the street, in the broadest sense of the word: mobile and analogue, conceptual and documentary, street portraits, urban, fashion, road trips, street art, travel, architecture, abstract, graphic and large format. As the foundation puts it, the tools you use are not important to us.
The foundation exists to give emerging photographers, artists and designers somewhere to show their work — alongside celebrated professionals — and to open doors that would otherwise stay shut. Winning work travels: the 2020 and 2021 awards became an exhibition of 62 photographs by 43 photographers at Galerie Joseph Le Palais in Paris.
Hosted by Street Photographers Foundation. The organizer sets the rules, judging, winners, and prizes. Lenspost provides the platform.
What work is welcome
This competition accepts single photographs and series of 4 to 10 photographs judged as one work.
Open worldwide to professional and amateur photographers aged 18 or over. Entries cannot be accepted from Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, or the regions of Crimea, Luhansk and Donetsk, for compliance reasons. You must be the sole copyright owner of the photographs you enter, and everyone depicted must have agreed to be photographed. Stock images licensed for use are not eligible. A photograph or series that has already won a cash prize in a previous foundation competition cannot win one again. Previous finalists are welcome, and a photographer may win more than once with different work. If you genuinely cannot afford the entry fee, write to support@streetphotographersfoundation.com and ask for a single-photo fee waiver. They are limited and granted at the foundation's discretion, and are not available in the restricted jurisdictions above.

Promotion licence
Your rights
You keep full copyright of your work.
- By entering, you grant the organizer a non-exclusive licence to reproduce winning and shortlisted work to promote this competition and its future editions.
- No licence duration is stated, so the organizer may keep using selected work indefinitely — ask them before entering if this matters to you.
- You are always credited when your work is used.
- The foundation's public promise is that photographers retain full copyright, and that winners and jurors' picks grant it limited use to promote the photographers and market the awards. Its rules go slightly further: clause 6.1 grants a non-exclusive, royalty-free promotional licence over every submitted photograph, not only the selected ones. Both are true and both are published; the rules are the operative text. Every use carries a credit line.
If your work is not selected
Your photograph is shown on this competition's pages and nowhere else. No promotional licence is granted.
If your work wins or is shortlisted
The organizer may reproduce it to promote this competition and its future editions, with no duration stated.
Entry fees are generally non-refundable. The foundation may consider a refund for a duplicate charge or a technical error at its discretion.
These are the exact terms recorded with your entry.

The organizer

Street Photographers Foundation
Our goal is to offer a publication that talks about and focuses on street photography in terms of language and as an art form.
Verified organizer
Street Photographers is a foundation that is entirely dedicated to street photography. It is a place where you will find stories about people from the street and get some tip from them. The intent is to provide a platform for emerging photographers, artists and designers to showcase their works to create opportunities and open new doors. The subjects explored are broad, in terms of concepts, styles, and techniques. We want to explore the limits and possibilities.
